Who can enter?

Entry is open to all women in the marketing profession in the Greater London Region and to men who are responsible for marketing campaigns aimed at women. You could even nominate a colleague for an award for a surprise.

How do I enter?

Entering the Women in Marketing Awards couldn’t be easier. For each category you want to enter, you’ll need to complete the entry form with a maximum of 750 words explaining why you should win. Then email this along with as much supporting material as you wish, including PDFs and images (please don’t attach a video, but provide the URL link as part of your Word Document application), before Thursday 23 September 2010.

The more effort you make to present clear reasons why you should win, the stronger your application will be. The awards are free to take part in and you can enter as many categories as you wish.

Criteria for entries – please provide the following:

  1. Evidence of market understanding – appropriate research, market analysis, consumer insight and interpretation especially when identifying social trends and/or experiences of women.
  2. Creativity and innovation – the idea and how it resonates with the target audience.
  3. Excellence in implementation – demonstrate use of clear objectives, strategy (and how you arrived at it); target audiences; messages and marketing plan; usage of relevant communication channels.
  4. Demonstration of the role you and/or your team played in contributing to the success of the campaign or product.
  5. Performance – accountability to the business such as evaluation measurement showing pre-and post-campaign analysis; return on investment measurement; tangible business successes.
  6. Activity – over what period did the marketing activity take place? The project needs to have finished, the impact on the business measured and market and product or brand performance evaluated.
